Google has announced new features for Google Maps that will help users plan trips better.

Here's What We Know

Public transport passengers will now be able to receive notifications about delays on routes. The update includes a "Report a delay" button that allows users to quickly inform others about unforeseen delays, as well as receive up-to-date information about alternative routes and entrances to metro stations.

A new feature is also available for electric car drivers to help plan routes with charging stops in mind. Google Maps will only show compatible charging stations based on the type of outlet in your car.

These updates will be available to users in the US in the coming days.
