11 bit will support war victims: This War of Mine developers will release Forget Celebrations Charity DLC, the profits from which will be donated to charities
The famous game This War of Mine, which tells about the suffering of civilians from the fighting, turned 10 years old. In honour of this event the developers from the Polish studio 11 bit announced a story DLC.
Here's What We Know
The add-on will be called Forget Celebrations Charity, and all profits from its sale will be directed to the charitable foundations Liberty Ukraine, War Child, Amnesty International and Indie Games Poland Foundation.
Thus, the already socially significant game, which, by the way, is recommended by the Polish school curriculum, will benefit real victims of war, including those in Ukraine.
10 years have passed since the release of This War of Mine, and the game's message is still relevant. In October 2024, the game received a special award from Amnesty International. Unfortunately, the award shows that the world has not become calmer since the game's release. So instead of a big celebration, we decided to dedicate this anniversary to doing the right thing.
The plot of the add-on will tell the story of a war correspondent Katya, who is writing a book about the tragedies of people affected by the war, but during her work she came under rocket fire, she was wounded and the girl found herself trapped in a destroyed house. The player must help Katya to find the missing records and survive in the war-torn city.
The release date of the add-on is listed as "Soon". The developers are asking to add the DLC to your wishlist.
