The Game Awards updates rules: now DLC, remakes and remasters can be nominated for Game of the Year

On 18 November, we will find out the nominees for The Game Awards 2024. However, this year, the creators of the ceremony have introduced a new rule.

Here's What We Know

From now on, DLC, remakes, and remasters can be nominated in any category. This even applies to the Game of the Year nomination. Such projects can be nominated in all categories if the jury believes that the new creative and technical work deserves a nomination

The Game Awards aims to recognise the best creative and technical works of each year, regardless of the format of this content

The 10th anniversary ceremony will take place again in December at the traditional venue of the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
