Rumours: the spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead 2, Back 4 Blood 2, is in development

Back in 2021, Back 4 Blood, a co-operative shooter called the spiritual successor of Left 4 Dead, was released, as the game was created by Turtle Rock Studios, where former L4D developers work. And, probably, the authors are currently working on the second part.

Here's What We Know

The resume of actor and stuntman Jesse Hatch, who worked on motion capture for the first B4B, contains a mention of the Gobi 2 project, which belongs to Turtle Rock Studios.

Interestingly, the first part was codenamed Gobi, which hints at a sequel to Back 4 Blood.

And in May 2023, the domain back4blood2.com was registered.

So far, everything looks like the studio is really busy with the sequel, so we will continue to monitor the situation with the Gobi 2 project.
