After Activision Blizzard became part of Microsoft, the company underwent a lot of changes. For example, the Battle.net service, which was originally created to support, sell and connect users to Blizzard games, began to feature projects from other studios.

Recently, it became known that the RPG Avowed by Obsidian Entertainment will be available for purchase on this shop. This development is amazing in itself, as Obsidian has no relation to Blizzard, apart from the fact that it is also owned by Microsoft. But even more interesting is the alternative option to buy the game.

Here's What We Know

It turns out that those who want to buy Avowed in Battle.net, will be able to do so not only for real money, but also for virtual currency.

The thing is that Battle.net provides an opportunity to convert the virtual currency of Azeroth into dollars to pay for goods and services, such as subscriptions to World of Warcraft. Thus, to get $15 on your account, you need to purchase a special voucher, which costs 264,594 gold coins from WoW.

Avowed costs $70, so you will need five vouchers to buy the game, the total value of which is 1.3 million gold in World of Warcraft.

Of course, this is a huge amount of money, which is hard to earn in WoW without trading at the auction and visiting high-level raids every day, but there will probably be gamers who can afford to do it.

Avowed can also be purchased on Steam, the Microsoft Store, or you can get the game through an Xbox Game Pass subscription.

When We Can Expect It

Avowed will release on the 18th of February 2025.
