Phil Spencer is happy to work with Lucasfilm and Disney, but still wants to focus on his own intellectual property
Xbox is currently actively cooperating with Disney. Microsoft game studios are actively working on a game about Indiana Jones and the Marvel Blade hero. And Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft's gaming division, is optimistic about this partnership.
Here's What We Know
Phil is very pleased with the partnership with Lucasfilm and Disney.
Generally speaking, Spencer does not like to deal with licensed games because of the fact that licences can expire, which leads to the withdrawal of games from sale. Instead, he tends to focus on his own intellectual property. But for games such as Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Spencer is willing to make an exception.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be released on Xbox Series, Game Pass, and PC on 9 December, and on PlayStation 5 in spring 2025.
