Samsung has announced the development of a new telephoto lens module for smartphones.

Here's What We Know

The new product uses All Lenses on Prism (ALoP) technology, which makes the lens more compact and provides improved image quality.

Instead of placing the lenses between the prisms and the camera sensor, ALoP places them horizontally above the prism mechanism. This results in a smaller design that supports larger lenses that provide better light and detail in light and dark. The new module offers an aperture of F2.58 at 80 mm focal length with a three times optical zoom.

The module will provide more zoom, better detail and image quality than the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Samsung has not yet revealed which smartphones will feature this lens, but it is likely to be integrated into the Galaxy S25 or Galaxy Fold 7 models.
