Samsung is preparing for an important update for the Galaxy A series. Next year, the new Galaxy A56 is expected to receive 45W fast charging.

Here's What We Know

This will be the first A-series smartphone with this feature. The charging power of previous Galaxy A models, such as the A55, was limited to only 25W.

The Galaxy A56, which has not yet been announced, is listed in the China Certification Council (CCC) database under the model number SM-A5660. The certification confirms support for charging up to 45W (10V, 4.5A), which is more than even the base Galaxy S24.

The changes will be of interest to owners of previous Galaxy A models, as the A56 has a new Exynos 1580 chip, an improved camera, and longer update support.
