Here's What We Know
The delivery is scheduled for 2026 and includes a command and control centre, an initial set of spare parts sufficient for 4,000 hours of flight time, and training.
"The configuration includes six UAVs equipped with electro-optical cameras for reconnaissance, including an initial set of weapons, and provides this dual radio coverage of the entire territory of Croatia in a fixed and mobile version," said Croatian Defence Minister Ivan Anušić.
For Croatia, the purchase is part of a wider military modernisation drive. For example, it has recently purchased Leopard 2 A8 tanks and Rafale fighter jet maintenance.
Prior to that, the Croatian parliamentary defence committee approved the purchase of eight HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems from the US for almost $290 million.
The TB2 is a medium-altitude, long-endurance drone capable of performing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance functions, as well as attack. It has a range of over 150 km, a maximum altitude of over 7,500 metres, and can fly at speeds of up to 222 km per hour. The platform has an endurance of 27 hours and a payload of 150 kilograms.
