Google Messages to get chat backup and restore feature
Google Messages will soon have a backup and restore feature, which will make it much easier to save your chat history.
Here's What We Know
Previously, users could only create backups through Google One, but now there will be a built-in option directly in the app.
According to the latest beta version of the app, users will be prompted to activate backups in the settings, where they can store conversations, media, and other data.
Importantly, all backups will be encrypted, and chats will be restored automatically when you log in to the app.
There will also be a function to synchronise photos and videos via Wi-Fi, which will help save mobile data.
The release date for this feature is still unknown, but it promises to make the app much easier to use.
