Garmin has announced the beta version of software 12.21 for its Fenix 8, Fenix E, and Enduro 3 smartwatches.

Here's What We Know

The update, which is now available to beta testers, contains important fixes, including an issue that could cause devices to crash when searching for nearby objects in Explore Nearby mode.

Garmin has temporarily removed the new Reference Point navigation app that was added in the previous 12.19 update. The app, which helps you navigate the terrain using a compass and line of sight to your destination, has been removed. This was due to issues with the Use Map feature that caused the clock to crash.

It is currently unknown when this option will be restored. The update is already available for registered beta testers and will be rolled out to all users in the near future.
