Insider: iPhone 17 will get the first central camera in the series and a new design

Apple is planning significant changes to the design of the iPhone 17, including the transition to a single central camera on the back.

According to new leaks, the upcoming iPhone 17 Air may feature a single central rear camera that combines the functions of a 48MP wide-angle and 2x telephoto cameras. This will be different from current models that use a dual camera.

The new design also includes moving the camera to the centre of the back panel, which will give the smartphone a unique look. Other models in the 17 series will retain the dual camera, but it will be horizontal.

Compared to previous models, this step is quite unusual, although a similar approach was recently demonstrated by the startup Nothing.

The iPhone 17 is likely to be more expensive than previous models - the price may reach USD 1299-1499.
