Amazon has announced the release of new Echo Show devices with large screens.

Here's What We Know

The Echo Show 15 with a 15-inch display will replace the previous model, and the Echo Show 21 will have an even larger 21-inch screen.

The new model offers a much larger viewing area, an improved camera with twice the field of view, and reduced noise during video calls. Echo Show 21 also features a built-in smart home hub that supports Wi-Fi 6E, Thread, Zigbee, and Matter.

The device works with Alexa for voice control and can serve as a media centre for Fire TV. The Echo Show 21 costs $400, and the Echo Show 15 costs $300.

These novelties appear on the eve of the launch of Apple's competitor Home Hub. Apple plans to release a device with an integrated camera for FaceTime, HomeKit and Matter control, and built-in speakers for music playback. Apple's device will be more compact, with a six-inch screen, support Siri and allow customisable widgets to display weather and events.
