Coca-Cola Switzerland is switching to electric cars: 177 Škoda Enyaq ordered
The Swiss division of Coca-Cola HBC has ordered 177 Škoda Enyaq electric crossovers for its sales team. Upon delivery of these vehicles, the share of electric cars in the corporate fleet will increase to 90 per cent.
The first batch of 68 cars was already handed over to the company last week. The remaining 109 cars will arrive before the end of this year in two phases.
What is known about the specifications?
Coca-Cola does not specify exactly which versions of the Enyaq have been ordered, but we are talking about a combination of rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. In Switzerland, only versions with a large 77 kWh battery, which provides a range of more than 500 kilometres on the WLTP cycle, are available.
Škoda said the cars are well-equipped with Matrix LED headlights, electric driver's seat adjustments and assistance systems including Travel Assist, Predictive Cruise Control and Traffic Jam Assist.
Why it matters.
The switch to electric vehicles will help Coca-Cola HBC reduce its annual CO2 emissions by 88% or around 700 tonnes. Such a move is part of Coca-Cola's overall strategy to reduce its carbon footprint.
