Postponement again: stylish pirate tactical RPG Flint: Treasure of Oblivion will be released in December
French publisher Microids and studio Savage Level had planned to release tactical RPG Flint: Treasure of Oblivion in October 2024, but the release was pushed back to November. And, as it turned out, it was not the last delay.
Here's What We Know
In a new gameplay trailer focused on controlling a team of pirates, the developers revealed that the game's release is now scheduled for 17 December 2024.
Savage Level studio did not explain the reason for the postponement of Flint: Treasure of Oblivion.
Recall, the main characters of this story will be Captain Flint and his assistant Billy Bones. Legendary pirates will go in search of some mysterious treasure and on their way there will be formidable enemies, unexpected allies, difficult battles and much more. They will find themselves in the lands of Central America and will be able to visit several ports in Europe.
Players will have to recruit their own ship's crew, including the recruitment of legendary pirates such as John Silver and Mary Reed, and then they will face challenging battles in turn-based mode, which the developers orientated on board games. A pack of cards is used to control the characters, and a roll of virtual dice will help to determine the result of the move.
The game is created on Unreal Engine 5, thanks to which it can boast excellent graphics, and in addition, the artists and designers of Savage Level obviously know their business very well, because the locations look atmospheric and colourful.
