Mercedes has released an app for Apple Watch: checking the power reserve, charging status and car control

Mercedes has introduced a new app for Apple Watch that allows owners of the brand's cars to interact with their cars more conveniently without having to pick up a smartphone.

Here's What We Know

With the new app, you can check the range, charging status, fuel or battery level, and remotely lock and unlock the car. In addition, you can check whether the windows are closed when you get out of the car.

One of the useful features is the ability to find a parking space and get walking directions to the car. There is also a compass that helps you navigate in places where mapping is not available, such as underground car parks.

The app is currently available to Mercedes owners in Europe, with further releases planned for the US, China and Asia. To use, you need a Mercedes me account and the current version of the Mercedes app on the iPhone, as well as watchOS 9 or later for the Apple Watch.
