Apple is working on an updated version of Siri, which will be based on a more powerful large-scale language model (LLM).

Here's What We Know

This novelty will be a part of iOS 19 and macOS 16, which will be announced next year, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

The new "LLM Siri" is currently being tested separately but will replace the current interface in the future. The platform will be launched in 2026. The updated version of Siri will rely on Apple's new artificial intelligence models, which will allow it to interact with users more naturally, similar to Google's ChatGPT and Gemini.

The system will also support App Intents functionality, which will provide more precise control over third-party applications. Siri will be able to write, summarise texts, and perform other tasks. For iOS 18.2, Apple is preparing integration with ChatGPT, and subsequent updates will provide Siri with the ability to understand the user's personal context.
