Amazon increases its investment in Anthropic by $4 billion, bringing the total amount invested to $8 billion.

The move strengthens the partnership between the companies, particularly in the areas of cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) training.

Amazon has become the main cloud technology provider for Anthropic and provides its AWS Trainium and Inferentia chips for training new AI models.

The partnership has seen the integration of Claude into AWS and Amazon Bedrock, as well as the launch of AWS Neuron for software development.

Anthropic plans to implement the latest technologies to optimise its AI models. AWS CEO Mat Garman said the company is impressed with Anthropic's speed of innovation and its approach to responsible development of generative AI.
