Playlists have appeared on the Spotify platform that lure users to fraudulent websites.
Here's What We Know
Cybercriminals use misleading names, such as "Sony Vegas Pro 13 Crack", to encourage users to click on links to malicious websites or resources with viruses. In addition, spam podcasts generated by artificial intelligence voices advertise illegal downloads or access codes.
Spotify has already removed the identified malicious content, but the question of long-term measures to prevent fraud remains open. Karol Paciorek, the cyber expert who first reported the issue, stressed the importance of caution when browsing playlists and clicking on links.
Users should carefully check the content on the platform and not follow suspicious links.
