Expensive: Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5090 flagship graphics card price revealed
Yesterday we reported that according to insider information NVIDIA will present 50-series graphics cards in February. If the data is correct, then buyers will be offered Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090, 5090 D, 5080, 5070 Ti, 5070, and after them budget 5060 and 5050 will be on sale.
Here's What We Know
According to the Italian portal Bits And Chips, the flagship GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card will cost $1900/€1800. This information was shared with them by Chinese and Japanese journalists. According to their data, manufacturers that produce graphics processes under NVIDIA licence will sell them at a recommended retail price of $1899 to $1999, while devices from individual brands, such as ROG or Windforce, will cost much more.
It is emphasised that the use of TSMC's N4 process, the latest GDDR7 memory (32GB!) and a PCB with a 512-bit bus significantly increase the cost of production.
Don't forget that future RTX 5090 owners will probably have to replace their power supply (if they haven't already), and not just because of the increased power consumption. NVIDIA will finally abandon the 12VHPWR connector in favour of 12V-2x6 Pin with the new graphics card.
