The first patch for STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released in the next few days - the developers will fix critical bugs and improve the game's performance

Studio GSC Game World announced the first patch for the shooter S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The long-awaited novelty was warmly welcomed by the public, although it revealed a considerable number of bugs.

Digital Foundry specialists were satisfied with the technical performance of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, but noted the need to fix a number of problems, and the Ukrainian developers have already started this work.

Here's What We Know

The authors of the game said that the first update will be released on PC and Xbox next week. It will affect almost all elements of Heart of Chornobyl, including the following:

  • fix bugs that cause the game to crash due to memory allocation issues, especially in rendering, animations, and cutscenes;
  • fix some causes of freezes, including a problem with the trading window closing when using the gamepad;
  • fix bugs blocking the completion of main quests, as well as problems with NPC behaviour and marker display;
  • rework some story missions;
  • adjust the cost of weapons with modifications installed;
  • improve NPC behaviour during Discard;
  • fix rare cases of missing facial animation, incorrect character placement and other graphical bugs;
  • improve the quality and stability of visual effects;
  • task notifications will now be displayed correctly during dialogues;
  • fix errors in text descriptions and hints.

In subsequent patches, the developers promise to eliminate problems with dead zones of analogue sticks and tweak the A-Life 2.0 system, which provides constant random events in the Zone.
