Silent Hill 2 on PlayStation 5 Pro replaces PSSR scaling technology with TSR to make the game work better

We wrote that Silent Hill 2 has received an important update for PS5 Pro that fixes graphical bugs. However, now it has become known what trick was used to fix the game.

Here's What We Know

Digital Foundry noticed that a recent patch for Silent Hill 2 replaced the PSSR scaling technology in performance mode with TSR.

Now the game uses the built-in Unreal Engine 5 upsampling system. But it works much better this way.

On the one hand, the image quality is similar to the basic PS5, but on the other hand, the frame rate has become more stable.
