According to Chinese media, Xiaomi may unveil its second production car, an electric crossover codenamed MX11, in the first quarter of 2025. It is expected that the novelty will be a competitor to the Tesla Model Y.

Here's What We Know

CNEV Post reported that the MX11's premiere could coincide with the start of deliveries of the SU7 Ultra sports sedan, scheduled for March. To compete with the Tesla Model Y, the MX11 is likely to get a price tag of around $34,000 to $49,000.

The MX11 will reportedly use the same platform and some components as the Xiaomi SU7, but will get a unique design with smooth side lines.

Documentation revealed in September reveals that Bosch will be one of the key component suppliers for the Xiaomi MX11. The company will provide the new model with Dynamic Power Braking (DPB), and will also develop an "Intelligent Braking" system for Xiaomi's even larger electric car planned for 2026, codenamed N3.
