The next major patch will add two new maps to Manor Lords, the ability to improve buildings and an updated distribution of ale and goods - screenshots have been published
Indie studio Slavic Magic, which until recently employed a lone game designer Grzegorz Styczeń, continues to develop medieval city-building strategy Manor Lords.
Here's What We Know
The Polish developer has published several screenshots to show what content will appear in Manor Lords with the release of the next major update.
Styceny did not give any details, but we know that gamers will be able to play two new maps, one of which is a snowy mountainous area and the author was inspired by the Swiss municipality Lauterbrunnen.
In Manor Lords there will be an option to improve some buildings, but due to the lack of information from the author it's hard to say how important this option will be in the gameplay.
Slavic Magic plans not only to add new mechanics, but also to improve and modify the existing ones. In the coming patches, the developers will adjust the distribution of ale and water, as well as goods on the trading floors.
At the moment, closed beta testing of the new version of Manor Lords is underway, but it is still unknown when the patch will be released.
Grzegorz Styceni didn't leave out the upcoming The Game Awards show either:
Manor Lords was nominated for "Best Debut Indie Game" and "Best Simulation/Strategy" as voted by players at The Game Awards. We really appreciate it, but of course there is still a lot of work to be done. The game is still in Early Access, and I know there are a lot of features, tweaks and fixes that you are all looking forward to. Your feedback has always been an important part of the process, and I intend to continue to take the open development approach that has allowed us to get this far, and work hard to improve the game.
Manor Lords is available on Steam, GOG and EGS, as well as the PC Game Pass catalogue.
