So you bought a game on Steam, you want to play it, but before you do, a third-party publisher's launcher pops up, and instead of playing it right away, you have to spend extra minutes looking at windows you don't want to see. And one of the publishers decided to stop this.

Here's What We Know

Publisher 2K has removed its launcher from all games on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

If you haven't seen any changes, restart Steam completely, or better yet, do it from your PC, and you'll stop seeing the annoying launcher.

And if you want to delete all the files related to the launcher, you can find the instructions here .

So now Marvel's Midnight Suns, Civilization V, XCOM, BioShock, and other 2K games are launched on the "Click Play and Go!" principle.
