Bloomberg: UK secretly transfers additional batch of Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine
Ukraine recently received permission from the United States, France and the United Kingdom to launch long-range missile strikes against military facilities in russia.
Effective ATACMS and Storm Shadow strikes have already been carried out, but Ukraine does not have a sufficient stockpile of missiles to make such attacks a regular occurrence. However, allies are working to provide Ukraine with enough of the much-needed defeat equipment.
Here's What We Know
Bloomberg sources reported that the UK government has secretly transferred a new batch of Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine. The source did not specify when exactly and in what quantity the weapons arrived in the country, but it most likely happened before authorisation was given to strike Russian territory.
This was the first decision on the supply of such missiles made by Keir Starmer's cabinet and the transfer confirms that London's position on supporting Ukraine has not changed and the UK continues to supply weapons.
It should be noted that the UK has not previously publicised the number and nomenclature of weapons transferred to Ukraine and is not changing this strategy.
