Google is enhancing its Gemini voice assistant to support Spotify. Users can now search, play, and browse music on Spotify with simple voice commands.

Here's What We Know

Although the extension is not yet available to everyone, the official support page is already available, indicating that the feature is almost ready to go live.

To get started, you need to link your Spotify and Google accounts. After that, users will be able to launch songs, albums, playlists, or search for music by artist name, genre, or lyrics. For example, you can say: "Play my Spotify playlist" or "Search for a song by [artist]".

This extension will initially be available only for Android and in English. However, at the initial stage, it will not be possible to create playlists or control radio stations through the voice assistant.
