Still waiting and waiting: live adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077 is at the conceptual stage of development

Back in October 2023, it was officially announced that we would get a live adaptation in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. A little more than a year has passed since then, and what is the current situation?

Here's What We Know

CD Projekt CEO Michał Nowakowski said that the project is at the conceptual stage of development.

I mean, the conceptual stage has different stages of progression, so we're definitely further along than we were a year ago, but we're also not at the stage where we could sell the concept to potential streaming services or studios

So it's still very early days and we shouldn't expect a release until 2025 or even 2026.

Also, the studio has not yet said whether it will be a film or a series.

However, it is known for sure that active work is underway on the next animated project Cyberpunk 2077, which will be released on Netflix. The release date and title are still unknown, but we can expect it to be released in 2025.

It is worth reminding that Cyberpunk 2077 sales exceeded 30 million copies.
