The alliance with NetEase didn't help: the Worlds Untold studio, founded by BioWare veterans, has suspended operations due to funding issues

Yesterday we reported that BioWare veteran Casey Hudson, who was one of the key creators of Mass Effect franchise, closed his studio Humanoid Origin and cancelled the development of the ambitious project. The reason for this decision is banal - a problem with funding.

And, as it turned out, the money problem affected not only Hudson, but also another BioWare veteran.

Here's What We Know

A year ago, the main scriptwriter of Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 Mac Walters announced the opening of the studio Worlds Untold. The company had the support of Chinese corporation NetEase and intended to work on big-budget games and create popular media franchises based on them.

But apparently something went wrong and today the studio announced that it has suspended all work.

Like Casey Hudson, Mac Walters' team is facing a lack of funding.

For now, the full closure of Worlds Untold has not been announced, but many team members have lost their jobs and the studio is looking to help them find employment.
