Made in Germany: Leica reported the highest earnings in its 100-year history

Germany's Leica Camera has announced that it has achieved its highest revenue ever for the 2023/2024 financial year, increasing revenue by 14% to €554m, up from €485m last year.

This success has been driven by sustained business growth and improved margins. The main driver of success remains autonomous cameras, especially the Leica Q3 model, which was the strongest revenue driver this year.

Despite significant developments in the mobile photography segment and partnerships in smartphone technology, the core of Leica's business remains traditional cameras and photography support.

The company says these results confirm its strategic alignment and allow it to continue to grow its core business as well as expand into other markets. 2024 was the best financial year in the company's nearly 100-year history, emphasising its successful development and adaptation to current market conditions.
