"Holy shit, guys": No Man's Sky boss on 'very positive' Steam reviews 8 years after release
The release of No Man's Sky in 2016 turned out to be a real flop. The game had mostly negative reviews on Steam and it seemed that the game would be forgotten forever. However, the developers have been updating the game for many years, and now players say that it is a cool project.
Here's What We Know
In 2018, No Man's Sky received mixed reviews on Steam, and in 2021, the game had mostly positive reviews. And now, in 2024, 8 years after its release, No Man's Sky has very positive reviews, with 80% of all player reviews on Steam being good.
On this occasion, Hello Games studio boss Sean Murray wrote: "Holy shit, guys, it's happening. ALL THE REVIEWS: Very positive. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have no idea what this means to us."
Since then, the game has received 35 free updates, and now we can say that No Man's Sky is one of the best comebacks in the history of the industry.
No Man's Sky is a space adventure game where players explore a limitless procedurally generated universe. Players can travel between planets, explore exotic worlds, gather resources, build bases, interact with alien life forms, and take part in interstellar battles. The game is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
