Why do we need a Chinese copy of Horizon? Tencent Games subsidiary has announced Light of Motiram, which is very similar to Sony's game
When creating something of our own, we have all been inspired by the work of others. It's quite normal, but some people flirt with inspiration so much that they end up copying.
Here's What We Know
Polaris Quest, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, has announced its game Light of Motiram, an open-world survival game inhabited by mechanised beasts that are very much like the Sony Horizon franchise.
In Light of Motiram, human civilisation has disappeared, leaving behind mechanical beasts and primitive cultures in a new primitive world. Survival requires skilful use of resources and endurance in extreme conditions. Players can explore the world, build fortifications, improve combat skills and coordinate with their mechanical beast partners. More than 100 mechanical beasts are ready to be tamed, and the cooperative mode allows up to 10 players to team up for common tasks and challenges.

And honestly, if you quickly scroll through some of the screenshots, it might seem that this is Horizon. That's why the project is still very much in doubt, because why do we need a copy of Horizon if we already have the original franchise?
The game is due to be released on PC, but the release date is unknown.
