Apple has registered a new patent that describes a method for measuring blood pressure using a smartwatch.

Here's What We Know

The technology works thanks to an inflatable chamber filled with liquid, which, together with a pressure sensor and a sensor, registers fluctuations in the user's blood flow.

This method may be more accurate than Samsung's optical approach or Huawei's direct measurement. However, it is still unclear why Apple chose liquid instead of air, as liquid is almost incompressible.

It is important to note that the patent does not guarantee the appearance of this feature in the next Apple Watch models. The technology may remain experimental or implemented only in the distant future.
