vivo S20 and S20 Pro: new mid-range smartphones with powerful features debut in China
vivo has introduced new models of the S20 series of smartphones in China. The vivo S20 and S20 Pro models differ in design, cameras, chipsets and batteries.
Here's What We Know
Both devices are equipped with 6.67-inch AMOLED displays with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and support in-display optical fingerprint scanners.
The main differences between the models are in the processors and cameras: The S20 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, while the S20 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset that supports faster Wi-Fi 7 and 5.5G. The S20 has a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation, while the S20 Pro has a 50MP camera with periscopic zoom.
The S20 also has a larger 6500mAh battery with 80W charging, while the S20 Pro has a 5500mAh battery with 90W faster charging. These models run on OriginOS 5 based on Android 15.
The price of the vivo S20 starts at 2299 yuan ($317), and the vivo S20 Pro starts at 3399 yuan ($468). Both smartphones are available for pre-order, and deliveries will begin on 12 December.
