Samsung is ditching the Edge sidebar in One UI 7

Samsung has announced that in the One UI 7 update, users will no longer be able to download Edge panels from the Galaxy Store.

Here's What We Know

Existing panels will remain available in the My Apps section of the new One UI 7, but if they are deleted, it will be impossible to restore them, even if they have been paid for.

Edge panels, which provided quick access to frequently used apps, have always been a unique feature for Samsung devices. However, users should now be prepared for the gradual disappearance of this feature. Samsung has no plans to completely remove the Edge Panels yet, but the ability to customise them will be lost. This could be a step towards phasing out the feature altogether in the future.

Users who haven't upgraded their devices to One UI 7 will still be able to download the new panels, but there's no timeline on when they'll be available. One UI 7 promises a lot of useful new features, but support for Edge panels isn't one of them.
