Elon Musk expressed his admiration for the hearing aid feature in Apple's AirPods Pro 2 headphones. The feature, introduced at Apple's launch event in September, amplifies sounds and adjusts them to individual hearing profiles, which is particularly useful for people with mild to moderate hearing loss.

Here's What We Know

Musk said the feature is very cool in response to a tweet from Apple CEO Tim Cook, who emphasised the importance of the technology. The advert included in Cook's tweet shows a father using the feature to better communicate with his daughter.

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved hearing aid feature solves an important problem faced by millions of people around the world. It is available in more than 100 countries and regions, is compatible with iPhone, iPad and Mac, and offers a more affordable alternative to standard hearing aids. The hearing protection feature, designed to reduce exposure to loud noise and so far only available in the US and Canada, is expected to be introduced to the European market soon.
