Terraria developer postpones release of next game update to 2025 to avoid overwork
Thanks to the constant release of updates for Terraria, the game has been a great success over the past decades. However, the next update, 1.4.5, will have to wait a little longer. The developers' original plans were to release it by the end of 2024, but now it's 2025.
Here's What We Know
Re-Logic's Head of Business Strategy and Marketing, Ted "Loki" Murphy, explained on the game's forums that year-end releases are challenging due to factors such as review cycles and holiday schedules.
To avoid disruptions and maintain quality, the team decided not to push for a rush release. Murphy emphasised their commitment to quality, stating that every update has to be "right", even if it means a longer wait.
While the delay may be frustrating for some players, Murphy assured fans that the extra time will result in a decent update. He thanked players for their patience and promised that the wait would pay off in the end.
