MSI announces Claw 8 AI+ and Claw 7 AI+ portable Windows consoles starting at $800
MSI has introduced updated portable gaming consoles Claw 8 AI+ and Claw 7 AI+ equipped with Intel Core Ultra 7 series 2 processors. Compared to the first generation of the console (we have a review of MSI Claw), they have doubled the RAM memory and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. The older 8-inch model received a more powerful battery (we only had questions about the console's battery life, even the first one coped well with performance).
Here's What We Know
Both consoles support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and are equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, which allows them to be used as mini-PCs with Copilot+ support. Thanks to Cooler Boost HyperFlow technology, which includes two fans and two heatpipes, the devices are designed to effectively dissipate heat, which will improve comfort during long gaming sessions.

Claw 8 AI+
It is equipped with an 8-inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a brightness of 500 nits. The device is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, 32 GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM, and an Intel Arc 140V graphics processor. It can store up to 1TB of data on an SSD. The 80 Wh battery provides long battery life.

Claw 7 AI+
It has a 7-inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of 500 nits. This model is also equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, 32 GB of LPDDR5x-8533 RAM, and an Intel Arc 140V graphics processor. The SSD capacity is 512 GB, and the battery has a capacity of 53 Wh.

Prices and availability
The new consoles are already available for pre-order on MSI's official website. Claw 7 AI+ will go on sale on 1 December for $800, and Claw 8 AI+ will be available on 25 December for $900.
