Apple CEO Tim Cook shared the company's vision of artificial intelligence (AI) in a recent interview and emphasised its importance for personal health and safety.

Here's What We Know

Apple started working on artificial intelligence in 2017. At that time, the team that developed neural engines focused on implementing machine learning into the company's products. Among the results of these efforts are Apple Watch features that can track heart rate and detect sleep apnoea.

Cook stressed that technologies should serve humanity, and AI can be a tool for this. Apple pays special attention to privacy: most AI processes are processed directly on users' devices, and complex tasks are performed on servers with built-in security systems.

Cook also hinted at the development of AI in other Apple products, but did not disclose details.
