Honda NT1100 Police: a new bike for US police forces for $14,499
As early as May 2025, American police officers can replace their old bikes with the new Honda NT1100 Police. This motorbike is designed specifically for law enforcement agencies in the US and is an adaptation of the European NT1100 model.
Here's What We Know
The new product is lighter and more manoeuvrable than its predecessor, the Honda ST1300, which is still used by police officers. The bike is equipped with a 1,084cc twin-cylinder engine, which is also installed on the Honda Africa Twin. Power output from the motor is 101bhp at 8,500rpm and maximum torque is 104N-m at 6,000rpm. That's slightly less than the ST1300 (125bhp and 115N-m), but the NT1100 Police wins on weight - just 257kg versus 320kg, and that's with a full tank of fuel.
For police work, Honda has added some important options: adjustable windscreen, padded seat, protective fairings, LED lighting, electronic driver aids, a briefcase, engine protection, document box and other useful accessories. Additional modifications can be ordered through official dealers.
Technical component
NT1100 Police has a 6-speed manual gearbox with multi-disc clutch in oil bath, 17-inch wheels with 120/70 (front) and 180/55 (rear) tyres, Showa shock absorbers and effective braking system: four-piston calipers and 310 mm discs at the front, single-piston calipers and 256 mm discs at the rear.
A special "feature" is the six-axis IMU (Inertia Management Unit), which automatically adjusts the ABS to the bike's tilt in corners. The bike also has multiple riding modes, cruise control and a 6.5-inch touchscreen display.
