Sony reveals first footage of new zombie trilogy '28 Years Later' in teaser

Sony has unveiled the first teaser for the highly anticipated film 28 Years Later, which is the sequel to the iconic zombie saga.

The teaser, which is only 14 seconds long, shows mysterious images such as red skulls, a biohazard symbol and an island connected by a long bridge. The entire teaser is accompanied by Morse code sounds, which fans believe translates to "Tuesday," which could hint at the release date of the full trailer.

The film will focus on a new group of survivors who face the renewed threat of the Rage Virus. Cillian Murphy will return to his role as Jim from the original "28 Days Later" film. The film is being directed by Danny Boyle, with Alex Garland writing the screenplay.

The film is scheduled to premiere on 20 June 2025. This film will be the first in a new trilogy, with a sequel already in development.
