Insider reveals release date for unusual game South of Midnight by We Happy Few - new details may be revealed at The Game Awards

Spanish insider eXtas1s revealed the release date of the unusual game South of Midnight from the studio Compulsion Games - the author of no less conceptual dystopia We Happy Few.

EXtas1s, whose information is always confirmed by official sources, said that South of Midnight will be released in March 2025. According to him, this and other important information about the game will be revealed at the biggest show of The Game Awards 2024, which will take place on 13 December at 01:30 (CET).

Apparently Microsoft and Compulsion Games will unveil a new South of Midnight trailer and possibly open pre-orders.

South of Midnight was announced in June 2023 and is a third-person action-adventure game set in rural southern USA, where local folklore is combined with magic and fantasy monsters.

The main feature of South of Midnight is the use of stop motion art, also known as frame-by-frame animation, but it can be turned off in the game.

South of Midnight is being made for Xbox Series and PC and will be available in the Game Pass catalogue.
