People don't like it when big companies, having the opportunity to pay artists, use images generated by artificial intelligence. And because of this, an avalanche of criticism has hit Activision (again).

Here's What We Know

Players of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 expressed their dissatisfaction with the use of AI in the game and its advertising materials.

Fans noticed the image of a zombie Santa on the loading screen, which caused controversy. Some players thought it was just a joke related to the fact that it was the sixth game in the series, while others argued that the image could have been created by artificial intelligence, as AI often has trouble depicting realistic hands. The latter is more believable.

People pointed to other images that also raised questions because of the unusual number of fingers. One player on Reddit said: "It's pretty obvious that the game is full of AI." He also emphasised that the team responsible for the zombie mode was almost completely replaced due to Activision's desire to use AI to reproduce actors' voices at no additional cost.

Will Activision want to stop using AI for images after this? Who knows... time will tell.
