Assad's escape from Syria was organised by the Russians and they also launched disinformation about the downing of the plane carrying the dictator
Russia has organised a covert operation to evacuate Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, spreading disinformation about a possible plane crash.
Here's What We Know
A few days ago, Western media reported that an IL-76T with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad on board had disappeared from monitoring radar. It was assumed that the aircraft had been shot down or had crashed.
However, according to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia used this information to cover up an operation to rescue Assad and those close to him. This later proved to be the case, as the Russians officially announced that Assad was in Moscow.
"The loss of the signal of Assad's plane from the radar is probably due to the actions of the crew, who followed the instructions of the Russians and flew under their guidance," the DIU said before it became known that the dictator had successfully escaped.
