Necromorphs will return to the screens: an insider revealed the development of a new animated series based on the Dead Space universe
More than a decade ago, director John Carpenter stated his desire to film the space horror game Dead Space, but the project never came to fruition. We shouldn't wait for a new game in the series, as its creator Glen Schofield recently said that Electronic Arts (for now) is not interested in the development of the franchise.
But Dead Space fans should not be sad, because an interesting media project may be released soon.
Here's What We Know
Well-known insider Daniel Richtman shared an interesting news. According to his information, instead of a film with live actors in development is an animated series. Unfortunately, Richtman did not reveal the title, plot or release date of the anime.
In 2008, the anime Dead Space: Downfall was released, which told the story of the beginning of the necromorphs' takeover of the USG spaceship Ishimura, followed by the sequel Dead Space: Aftermath in 2011.
Both series received good reviews and revealed to fans many interesting details about the Dead Space universe.
