Apple plans to remove the notch from the MacBook Pro in the next few years.
Here's What We Know
According to Omdia, the 14 and 16-inch models coming in 2026 will have a camera in the form of a small hole at the top of the screen, instead of a notch. It is not known whether this will be just a hole or whether Apple will add the Dynamic Island feature from the iPhone for low battery notifications or other system messages.
With no notch, the screen will have more usable space and a more cohesive look. Additionally, in 2026, MacBook Pro will feature OLED displays that provide brighter images, better contrast, and energy efficiency.
Until then, there will be no changes to the MacBook Pro, but subsequent models will receive M5 chips.
