Xiaomi is preparing to release YU7 electric SUV with 508kW of power

Xiaomi continues to expand its presence in the electric vehicle market with the unveiling of the new YU7 SUV, which will be released in the summer of 2025.

Here's What We Know

The YU7 is an all-electric SUV with a similar design to the SU7 sedan, the company's first electric model released earlier this year. The YU7 is expected to compete with the Tesla Model Y and other electric SUVs in China's growing market.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun shared images of the new vehicle on the Weibo platform, noting that the YU7 will be officially unveiled in June or July next year.

The SUV features front and rear motors with a total output of 508kW, allowing it to reach a top speed of up to 253km/h. Xiaomi has also partnered with Chinese company CATL to develop batteries for its vehicles. The YU7 SUV will be the second electric car model from Xiaomi, following the successful launch of the SU7 sedan, which received positive reviews and achieved significant sales in China.
