The first 8 episodes of Secret Level anthology set in the worlds of video games premiered: critics were sceptical
The authors of Love, Death and Robots have been working on the Secret Level anthology set in the worlds of video games. On 10 December, the first 8 episodes premiered on Amazon Prime.
Here's What We Know
Amazon has teamed up with Tim Miller and his Blur Studio, which created Love, Death, and Robots, to develop a new anthology, but this time about video games.
The Secret Level anthology consists of original short stories set in the worlds of video games. There will be 15 episodes in total. We will be shown stories from such games as Armored Core, Concord, Crossfire, Dungeons Dragons, Exodus, Honor of Kings, Mega Man, New World: Aeternum, PAC-MAN, various PlayStation Studios games, Sifu, Spelunky, The Outer Worlds, Unreal Tournament, and Warhammer 40,000.
The first 8 episodes showcase Armoured Core, SIFU, Unreal Tournament, Pac-Man, Crossfire, Warhammer, DD, and new World.
Secret Level received 64% freshness from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Those who have watched the project note that it looks like it has lost its potential and feels like it's just beautiful extended trailers to promote games, but some still enjoyed watching it. However, if you have Amazon Prime, it is better to check it out for yourself, as the episodes last up to 20 minutes.
