OpenAI has launched Sora, a video generation model that can create high-quality videos in seconds

OpenAI, the company that created ChatGPT, has unveiled its new video generation model called Sora.

This model is capable of generating realistic and creative videos based on textual instructions. Sora is now available to the general public, but only for paid users.

OpenAI launched Sora as a standalone product for Plus and Pro subscribers. The new version, Sora Turbo, is significantly faster than the previous model. Users can create videos up to 1080p resolution and up to 20 seconds long, choosing different aspect ratios. You can also use your own resources to expand, remix and mix content, or create entirely new content from text alone. OpenAI restricts malicious content generation and introduces C2PA metadata to identify videos.

Sora is available in most regions but not yet deployed in the UK, EU and Switzerland due to strict AI regulations. OpenAI plans to introduce customised pricing for different types of users early next year.
