Game of the Day: Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered - a classic of the 90s with intrigue, betrayal and dark fantasy

The remastered collection of the cult Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver and Soul Reaver 2 was released on 10 December 2024. Favourite stories about vampires and revenge are back with updated graphics, new features, and the same dark fantasy atmosphere.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered is an improved version of the classic action-adventure games released in the late 1990s. Players will once again plunge into the dark world of Nosgoth, where the protagonist Raziel seeks revenge on his former master Kain. The plot reveals a chilling story about vampires, betrayal, and the struggle for power, creating a unique world to explore.

The game received a higher resolution of textures, updated character models and visual effects, as well as new camera control options. The remaster adds the ability to switch between the original and new graphical settings, as well as new bonuses: photo mode, an interactive map and previously unreleased levels.

The main feature of the gameplay is the ability of Raziel to switch between the material and spectral dimensions. This allows you to solve puzzles, open new paths and destroy enemies with the help of the unique Wraith Blade weapon. In addition, the game contains elements of platforming and combat system that preserve the atmosphere of the original, although sometimes they may seem outdated.
